Ferndown Nursing Home is located within easy access of Poole, Bournemouth and Wimborne and is set within large attractive grounds, which are a delight in the summer months. The home is registered for twenty-three patients.
Patient accommodation is situated on the ground and first floors of the home. The ground floor is fully wheelchair friendly with no steps at the main door and for access to the first floor there is a wheelchair accessible lift. The home has been built to a high standard with an emphasis on a ‘homely environment’. The ground floor accommodation consists of four single bedrooms, three sharing bedrooms, a large communal lounge with patio doors to the rear garden, a toilet and bathroom.

The first floor offers five single bedrooms, four sharing bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet and hairdressing room. All single bedrooms have an en-suite toilet and washbasin whilst the sharing rooms have a full en-suite bathroom in order to facilitate privacy of the patients who choose to share a bedroom. The two separate bathrooms within the home include a Mermaid hoisted bath in one for assisted bathing and one normal bath in the other. The dedicated hairdressing room is fully equipped for the weekly visit by the hairdresser. |
