Accommodation All the bedrooms are en-suite, nicely decorated and are furnished with a fully profiling electric nursing bed, comfortable chair, bedside light and adequate storage for clothes and belongings including a locked draw for valuables. Each room has the benefit of a remote control digital freeview colour T.V. and there is a hands free telephone available for personal calls. Each bedroom and en-suite are equiped with wireless nurse call points. Residents are encouraged to introduce a small item of furniture, photographs and other mementoes which are important in stimulating memory and a sense of familiarity. If you wish to bring electrical items into the home these must have been safety tested beforehand.
Equipment The home has a stock of well maintained equipment which can be used when an assessment of a resident's needs has been performed e.g. Bed safetyrails, safety rails bumpers, pressure relieving equipment including sheepskins, air beds, and heel and elbow protectors. In addition we are able to organise visits from opticians, dentists and audiologists when required. A chiropodist visits regularly and will see residents who do not qualify for NHS chiropody treatment.
