Admission
Prospective residents are encouraged to visit the home in order to make an informed choice and to enable a full assessment to be made of their nursing requirements. The assessment is essential to ensure that the home can provide adequate and appropriate care in the long term. Residents are welcome to become a resident for a short stay to assist in the decision process if a room is available; this trial period is usually for 6 weeks (during which a notice period of 1 week applies). If the prospective resident is unable to visit, Mrs Hughes will visit them in order to make the assessment of needs. If the prospective resident is several miles away the assessment may need to be carried our using information gained from a Care Manager, the hospital or other relevant carer. All prospective clients, their advocates, family or friends are welcome to visit and view the home at any reasonable time.
Fees
Details of current fees are shown below; payable monthly in advance by way of standing order. The fees are exclusive of the payment made directly to the home for assessed Registered Nursing Care “Free Nursing Care”.
April 2010 – 2011 (fees increase annually every April)
Rooms:- weekly charge for full board, social & personal care, laundry, full services and equipment within the home and facility of a registered nurse 24 hours a day
